Job Description
- Managing Volunteer Center, coordinating projects, managing accounts, bright-minded
and talented individuals for the position of a Freelance Tour Manager.
- To be a good project and center manager, you need to be a good decision maker, with excellent
people skills and the willingness to travel.
- Personal traits are often more important than formal qualifications.
- As a Senior project coordinator, you will be responsible for making sure that
travel arrangements and project arrangements for student groups run as smoothly and excitedly as possible.
- You will accompany students throughout their projects, keeping them informed about details like arrival/departure times and places of interest.
- You will usually work on projects that could last from one to seven days.
- You will welcome the students groups in the beginning of their trip and inform them of travel arrangements & company visits.
- You will have to make sure all project arrangements run according to plan, and all accommodation, meals and service are
satisfactory.
- You will need to record issues that may require follow-up after the project.
- You will need to be available 24 hours during the duration of the project, to give
advice, solve problems and deal with emergencies like breakdown of projects or
difficulties with accommodation or medical emergencies
- MSW (Master's in Social Work)
- An experience of working with people
- Self-confidence
- A polite, tactful and tolerant approach
- Excellent \'people\' skills
- Good knowledge of English and Hindi and one or more local languages
- Safety-consciousness
- The ability to deal calmly with emergencies
- Good organizational and time-management skills
- A smart appearance
- Speaking English (added advantage)
- A keen interest in the culture, geography and history of the locations
