What Program Operations contribute to Cardinal Health
Program Operations is responsible for playing a key/critical role in realizing business value through the application of project management knowledge, skills, tools, and techniques to meet program objectives.
- Demonstrates knowledge of the project management initiating, planning, executing, monitoring/controlling, and closing processes.
- Effectively balances competing for project constraints including but not limited to scope, quality, schedule, funding, budget, resources, and risk, to manage project success.
- Negotiates with stakeholders to obtain the resources necessary for successful project execution.
Analytical Thinking
- Works to understand complex functional situations by paying attention to the details of the tasks at hand and by breaking them down into smaller pieces.
- Identifies data requirements, often beyond the standard, and collects all relevant data needed to analyze a complex problem, situation or issue
- Applies hypotheses and an understanding of cause and effect when analyzing a complex process, situation or issue or discerning data patterns
Operational Excellence
- Identifies opportunities to improve efficiency while providing flawless transactions and services; manages outsource budget and other resources to optimize cost effectiveness.
- Tracks resource utilization for all current programs, and ensures that usage complies with budgets and protocols; identifies areas of concern
- Maintains a strong focus on delivering high quality work; holds self, Learning Business Partners, outsource vendors and Learning COE team members accountable.
Client Experience
- Ensures that clients have a positive experience; commits to meet or exceed client expectations.
- Demonstrates a commitment to meeting service expectations or fulfilling service agreements; consistently meets clients’ needs
- Displays honest empathy regarding clients’ concerns and issues; determines needs and expectations and responds accordingly
- Adopts clients’ perspectives in order to understand their expectations and deliver against them.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in related field, preferred.
- Large-scale operations or project management experience
- Experience working with outsource vendors preferred
- Project Management Professional Certification preferred
