Job Description
- Develop new sites using WordPress
- Assist the Lead Developer in shaping and implementing the WordPress platform strategy for the project
- Collaborate closely with the Lead Developer focusing on the scaling and resilience of Future’s high-profile and high-traffic WordPress sites
- Create bespoke plugins and developing modules for WordPress
- Maintain existing sites
- Liaise and interface with clients & stakeholders
- Document technical and functional specifications
- Provide technical consultancy services to stakeholders
- Liaise with IT and Systems departments to put best practice
- Ensure that we meet commercial ‘go-live’ deadlines
- Mentor to junior developers
- At least three wordpress applications deployed in the marketplace
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-effort, dynamic work environment
- Strong technical and design skills with a passion for Web technologies
- Fast learner of new and emerging technologies
- Self-motivated with the ability to drive features to delivery
- Solid written and verbal communication, presentation, and listening skills with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences
- Demonstrated ability to work well with others in a cross-functional team environment
