Job Description
SRF Bioinformatics job opportunities in Indian Agricultural Statistics Research Institute (IASRI) on contractual basis
Project: Network Project for Agricultural Bioinformatics and Computational Biology under CABin Scheme
Qualification: Master’s in Bioinformatics/ Computer Science / Computer Application/ Agricultural Statistics/ Statistics or equivalent with 4 years or 5 years of Bachelor’s degree. Candidates having Master’s degree in basic sciences with 3 years Bachelor’s degree and two years Master’s degree should have NET qualification. As per ICAR OM No. F.No. Agril.Edn.6/27/2014/HRD, dated 9th October 2015: “Graduates with three years Bachelor's degree, who have acquired professional Master's degree (3 years) like M.Sc.(Ag.), Masters in Computer Applications, M.Tech., etc., are eligible’’.
Desirable: Knowledge in Statistical and Computational Genomics/Bioinformatics. Knowledge of programming in LINUX/R/Perl/JAVA/PHP/J SP and use of various software & tools.

Emoluments for SRF: Rs:25,000/- per month + HRA (for 1st and 2nd year) and Rs:28000/- per month + HRA (for 3rd year).
Age Limit: Age for SRF should be not more than 35 years (5 years relaxation for SC/ST/women candidates and 3 years for OBC candidates) as on the date of the interview.
