Project: 1 .ICAR-NPTC Project: Functional Genomics in Wheat.

Qualification: Master Degree in Biotechnology/Life Sciences with 4 years/ 5years of Bachelor’s degree Or Post graduate degree in Biotechnology/ Basis Sciences with 3 years Bachelor’s degree and 2 years Master’s degree with NET/GATE qualification as per ICAR notifications.
Pay Scale: Rs.25000/-+HRA and after 2 years 28000/-+HRA from 3rd year
Desirable: Working Experience in molecular biology techniques.
Project: 2 .ICAR Network project on Functional Genomics and genetic modification in crops (NPFGGM).

Qualification: Master Degree in Biotechnology engineering/Life Sciences with 4 years/ 5years of Bachelor’s degree. Or Post graduate degree in Basis Sciences with 3 years Bachelor’s degree and 2 years Master’s degree with NET/GATE qualification as per ICAR notifications.
Desirable: Working Experience on plant tissue culture genetic transformation and molecular biology techniques
Pay Scale : Rs.25000/-+HRA and after 2 years 28000/-+HRA from 3rd year

In India, the wheat research started in an organized manner exactly hundred years ago during British period after joining of Sir Howards as the Imperial Botanist at Pusa (Bihar) in 1905. Later on with the establishment of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research in 1935, it became the main funding agency and promoter of wheat research in India and the Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI) played an important role for the wheat Research related activities. An important milestone in this process was the establishment of the All India Coordinated Wheat Improvement Project (AICWIP) in 1965 by the ICAR.
