SRF Chemical Engineering Job Opportunity At NITK-Surathkal.
Title of the Project: “Selective Extraction and purification of Commercially Valuable Pigment “Melanin” from Cephalopod ink and its industrial effluent”
Number of post: 1 (One) Post
Essential Qualifications: M.Tech/M.E in Chemical Engineering or Biotechnology or Industrial Biotechnology or Environmental Engineering or equivalent disciplines with a minimum of 60% aggregate score (6.5/10 CGPA). Applicant must be selected through GATE or CSIR-UGC NET for their master degree. The applicant should have at least two years of post M.Tech/M.E Research Experience.
Desired Skills:
- Exposure to the analytical Instruments like HPLC, LC-MS, FPLC, GC & GCMS and regular laboratory analysis.
- Work experience related to characterization and analysis of bio-molecules.
- Ability to work in a team, good communication skills and experience in experimental research.
Age Limit:
(a) The upper age limit shall be 32 years
(b) The upper age limit is relaxable up to 5 years in case of candidates belonging to scheduled castes/Scheduled Tribes/physically handicapped and female applicants whereas 3 years in case of OBC (Non-Creamy Layer candidates).
Salary: Rs.35,000 / month + HRA
Duration: Three years or up to the termination of the project, subject to annual performance review. The candidate is entitled to register for the Ph.D. program at NITKSurathkal
