Job Description

SRF Microbiology recruitment in Indian Institute of Soil Science

1. Project: (“Archaea and Actinobact eria in Vertisols of diversity, biogeoche mical processes and bioinoculan ts potential” (AMAAS project)

SRF/1 Post

Essential: M.Sc. in Microbiology/ Agricultural Microbiology with 4 years / 5 years of Bachelor’s degree. Candidates having post graduate degree in Basic Sciences with 3 years Bachelor’s degree and 2 years Master’s degree should have N.E.T./GATE qualification.

Desirable: 1. Experience in isolation and characterization of Archaea and Actinobacteria. 2. Use of molecular techniques in soil microbial analysis. 3. Good working knowledge of computers, data analysis, report preparation.

Pay Scale : Rs.25000/- per month (fixed) + HRA for first & second year in 3rd year Rs.28000/- per month (fixed) + HRA.

Project: “Effect of slow N release formulation s for enhancing productivit y and nitrogen use efficiency in cereals”

2.Senior Research Fellow /
01 position

Essential: M. Sc. in Soil Science/ Soil Science and Agricultural Chemistry with 4 years/ 5 years of Bachelor’s degree.

Desirable: Knowledge and experiences on analysis of soil physical and chemical properties.

Pay Scale : Rs.25000/- per month (fixed) + HRA

Age limit
: for Research Associate is 40 years for Men & 45 years for Women & for Senior Research Fellow is 35 years for Men and 40 years for women (relaxation of age in case of SC/ST/OBC/PH candidates as per Government norms).
