Job Description
Manipal Academy of Higher Education invites applications from eligible candidates for the
position of Senior Research Fellow for SERB project funded project titled “Particle Physics
Models of Cosmic Inflation” under the supervision of Dr. Kazuyuki Furuuchi at the Manipal
Centre for Natural Sciences (MCNS), Centre of Excellence, Manipal Academy of Higher
Education, Manipal. The project involves theoretical investigations of models of cosmic
inflation and data analysis for testing the models with observations.
Qualification: M.Sc. (Physics) degree is mandatory. The candidate should have a prior research experience in the field of cosmology for two years after obtaining the M.Sc. degree. Basic knowledge of the theory of cosmic inflation and skills in data analysis in order to test the models of cosmic inflation with observations are desirable.
Duration of Project: The starting date of the appointment is the earliest possible date on or after 10 April 2020. The term is until the project end date 9 September 2020.
Remuneration: NET/GATE qualified candidate: Rs. 35,000 per month + 8% HRA. The candidate without NET/GATE qualification will be paid reduced fellowship as per UGC/CSIR norm.
