Applications are invited from suitable candidates for one (01) position of Senior Research Fellow (SRF) OR Research Associate (RA)

Research project on 'Evaluation of the role of AIRE in germ cell division and differentiation' in the laboratory of Dr. Pradeep Kumar G at Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Biotechnology, Thiruvananthapuram.

Senior Research Fellow

Qualification: MSc/BE/B.Tech or equivalent degree with 60% mark with at least two years of post-MSc/BE/B.Tech research experience according to the last date of application.

Research Associate

Qualification: PhD (in a science or technology topic) or MD/MS/MDS (in medical science field) or ME/M.Tech/MPharm/MVSc with three years R&D expertise according to the last date of application, evidenced from fellowship or associateship or by date of enrollment of PhD.

Those who had submitted their PhD (Science/ Engineering) thesis are also qualified to apply for Research Associateship, though they will be eligible for salary at the SRF level till the award of their degree. Experience in animal handling, Cell culture techniques, Proteomics and genomics will be desirable.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS: Senior Research Fellow

Candidates who have qualified National Eligibility Test (CSIR-UGC NET including LS/ GATE/ DBT-JRF/ ICMR-JRF Examination) will be preferred. Experience in animal handling, Cell culture techniques, Proteomics and genomics will be desirable.

Research Associate: Experience in animal handling, Cell culture techniques, Proteomics and genomics will be desirable.

AGE: The Upper age limit for applying for the award of SRF shall be 32 years and of RA shall be 35 years as on October 11, 2019. 

EMOLUMENTS: Senior Research Fellow: Rs. 28,000/- per month.
Research Associate: Rs. 36,000/- per month.

House Rent Allowance @ 16% of the fellowship amount will be paid to those who do not avail RGCB hostel facilities.

Selection Process: Selection to the position will not entitle the candidate to any future positions at RGCB (permanent or otherwise). As with all project positions at RGCB, the position will be co terminus with end of the project.
