Qualification : Ph.D in any Discipline of science Or M.Sc (Ag) (Breeding/Genetics/ Biotechnology/ Bioinformatics) with 4-5 year of bachelor degree Or Master degree with integrated degree of B.Tech and M.Tech (5 Years) in Biotechnology OR M.Sc. (Life Science/Biotechnology/Bioinformat ics) with NET/GATE qualified with 02 years experience. Desirable Exposure to techniques in rice Breeding /Rice Genetics/Plant Biotechnology/Bioinformatics especially NGS data analysis and preparation of scientific/technical reports/research papers.

Age : 35 yrs. for Male and 40 yrs. for Female

Fellowship : Rs. 25,000/- p.m. + 20% HRA for 1st & 2nd year, Rs. 28,000/- p.m. + 20% HRA from 3rd year onwards as per rule.

Technical Help

Qualification : Essential:- Matric with +2 Vocational in Agriculture related subjects OR Matric with two years experience in the relevant field. Desirable One year field experience in rice crop.
Age : Minimum age 18 year

Fellowship : Rs.8,500/-

The Institute has two research stations- Central Rainfed Upland Rice Research Station (CRURRS), Hazaribagh, in Jharkhand, and the Regional Rainfed Lowland Rice Research Station (RRLRRS), Gerua, in Assam. These research stations were established to tackle the problems of rainfed uplands, and flood prone rainfed lowlands, respectively.
