Project Title : “Genomics Strategies for Improvement of Yield
and Seed Composition Traits Under Drought Stress Conditions in Soybean”

Qualification : Two years Master’s degree in Agriculture [M.Sc. (Ag.) (Molecular Biology and / OR Biotechnology /Agricultural Biotechnology / Plant Physiology / Biochemistry / Genetics and Plant Breeding / Microbiology with four or five years Bachelor’s degree. OR Three years Master’s degree in Agriculture (M.Sc. (Ag.) Molecular Biology and / OR Biotechnology / Agricultural Biotechnology / Plant Physiology / Biochemistry / Genetics and Plant Breeding / Microbiology) and three years Bachelor’s degree with 60% marks or equivalent OGPA. OR Two years Master’s degree in Basic Sciences (Molecular Biology and / OR Biotechnology / Biochemistry / Botany / Genetics / Life Sciences / Microbiology) and 3 years Bachelor’s degree with 60% marks or equivalent OGPA. Desirable : Knowledge of molecular biological techniques, operating laboratory equipment’s like PCR, qRT-PCR. Knowledge of computer operations. Screening plants for abiotic stress tolerance under controlled and natural environments. Knowledge about abiotic stress in plants.
Emoluments : Rs.

Desirable : Published
research papers relevant to abiotic stress tolerance in crop plants. Knowledge
of experimental techniques for plant abiotic stress physiology and statistical
analysis and documentation of experimental data. Knowledge of computer operated
greenhouse and its maintenance. Experience and willingness to work in field.

Plant Physiology / Biochemistry / Genetics and Plant Breeding with three years Bachelor’s degree with 60% marks or equivalent OGPA. OR Two years Master’s degree in Basic Sciences (Biochemistry / Botany/Genetics / Life Sciences) with 3 years Bachelor’s degree with 60% marks or equivalent OGPA. 10% HRA for 3rd year
Age Limit : The maximum age for SRFs will be 35 years for
men and 40 years for women and for RA will be 40 years for men and 45 years for
women (relaxation in age as per GOI/ ICAR norms). The age will be computed from
the date of Test/Interview.
