Staff Car Driver job vacancies in Cochin Shipyard Limited

Qualification :  Ex-Servicemen who have passed SSLC and possessing valid Driving License for driving Light Vehicles issued by the Union of India and three years experience as Staff Car Driver in Public or Private Sector Undertakings.

Experience :   (i) Experience acquired after the date of passing of the qualification stipulated as per item I above will only be considered. Period of post qualification experience will be reckoned as on 10 July 2019. Experience Certificates obtained from Public or Private Sector undertakings registered under the Companies Act or Foreign Companies of equivalent status will only be considered for short- listing and for consideration for selection.

Scale of Pay :   The post is in Industrial Dearness Allowance (IDA) pattern and consist of Basic Pay, IDA, HRA and Allowances as admissible.

Age Limit :   Age as on 10 July 2019 shall not exceed 45 years for Ex-servicemen or the period of military service plus three years. Age relaxation of five years applicable for candidates who have been domicile of Jammu & Kashmir during the period 01.01.1980 to 31.12.1989. Maximum age limit after applying relaxation in age will be 50 years.

Application Fee :   

(i) For the post application fee is Rs. 200/- (Non refundable, plus bank charges extra) should be remitted using the Online payment options (Debit card/Credit card/Internet Banking) which can be accessed through our Online application facility from 26 June 2019 to 10 July 2019. No other mode of payment will be accepted.

(ii) Applicants belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC)/ Scheduled Tribe (ST) need not pay application fee. They are exempted from payment of application fee. Candidates should pay the application fee as stipulated in clause d(i) above. It is important to note that their candidature will be considered only on receipt of application fee.

Method of Selection :   a) The method of selection for the notified post will include Phase I, consisting of an Objective type test (30 marks) and Phase II (70 marks), consisting of Practical Test. Depending on the number of online applications, the Objective type Test shall be through Online / Offline mode. b) In Phase I, the question paper for Objective type test shall be of 30 minutes duration and consists of two parts- General (Part A) and Discipline related (Part B). Part A comprises of General Knowledge and Quantitative Aptitude.
