Job Description
- Primary Responsibility of home care nurses provide medical and personal care to individuals who are chronically ill, disabled or suffering from cognitive impairments, senior citizens, babies and post operative care.
- Observe, assess the health of their clients by monitoring vitals, reaction to medications and look for changes in behavior and condition of health.
- Home Healthcare nurse reports directly to MD and client’s physician on regular basis regarding updates on clients / patient health status.
- Responsible for medical, emotional wellbeing of patients / clients. Counteract depressive patient’s emotional pitfalls by providing companionship and also carryon conversation and get to know their patient’s needs and work closely with more compassion to overcome all struggles.
- HCN are licensed and certified, therefore they can administer medication to patient including intravenous medication.HCN are NOT Privileged to prescribe medication.HCN can alter dosage on physician / Doctor’s Approval.
- HCN can do in-home assistance for patient / client with task like bathing, grooming and feeding food. Based on client demands additional service will be provided like housekeeping, do laundry going to shopping and prepare meal for the client.
- HCN are often required to assist patient with toileting, getting in and out of bed and transporting them to and from the house.
- HCN must undergo the LHHC credentialing home health care Training program before they been deployed for the service.
