Job Description
FUNCTION:
To anticipate and meet the needs and desires of the restaurant guests, to maintain the established standard of service, and to adhere to the policies and procedures of the restaurant
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Anticipate and attend to the guest’s needs and desires immediately to include special events like birthdays, anniversaries, and special occasions.
· Maintain your self appearance in accordance with the restaurants grooming standards.
· Maintain a harmonious relationship with other members of the service and kitchen crew.
· Acquire a full knowledge of the restaurants food and beverage service policies and procedures.
· Maintain superior levels of food & beverage service to customers.
· Maintain your self appearance in accordance with the restaurants grooming standards.
· Maintain a harmonious relationship with other members of the service and kitchen crew.
· Acquire a full knowledge of the restaurants food and beverage service policies and procedures.
· Monitor food quality and quantity as it relates to portion control.
· Promote up selling of food and beverages.
· Take food and beverage orders.
· Delivering food and beverages to customers
· Delivering and clearing of plates no less than 3 from the customer tables.
· Perform wine service operations of presenting, opening and pouring.
· Have working knowledge of the point of sale system.
· Clean and wipe areas when required..
· Maintain an acceptable degree of knowledge with regard to food and beverage products on the menus
· Participate in all rostered theoretical and on-the-job training sessions.
· Comply with all of the restaurants operational policies & procedures.
· Be able to report effectively all operations to the manager
· Maintain a clean & safe working environment.
· Ensure the protection and maintenance of all operating equipment
· Attend all scheduled meetings.
· Perform any other duties as directed by supervisor/manager.
