ROLE PROFILE
Job Title: Specialist - Procurement Operations Reports To:
Team Lead- Procurement Operations
Context/Scope
DBSI (Diageo Business Services India) is a multi-functional, multicultural, multi-language Shared Service Centre that handles back office Finance Transactions for DIAGEO-world wide businesses. As such DBSI is playing a key role in ensuring effective operation with minimum disruption to business in the Purchase to Pay Work Stream
This position will work closely with In Market Company representatives of different levels and departments as well as relevant third parties.
Market Complexity
- Over 1500-suppliers spread across the world and different tax requirements applicable.
- Diageo markets obtains supplies from all over the world and this role is expected to ensure timely payment in various world currencies using various payments methods
- Position works in the STP team and teamwork is essential.
Ensure effective and efficient execution of the operational and tactical procurement activities by supporting tactical buying activities, resolving operational procurement issues and act as an interface between requisitioners and procurement community to support & simplify guided buying following set purchasing standards & policies. Take lead in suggesting, driving & implementing process improvements and able to direct team members with correct process guidance.

Accountabilities
- Strong team player with ability to work effectively on cross-functional to support the guided buying to Diageo users (employees)
- Collaborate with procurement team to support on Tactical Sourcing & Procurement activities
- Review purchase request and perform necessary steps to complete PR to PO cycle
- Organize & conduct e-sourcing events – eRFP, e-auctions
- Able to handle queries from supplier & business in supporting the procurement to run tenders
- Manage & resolve BAU issues and queries as per SLA
- Create & Manage webforms/catalogue in Coupa & drive to improve buying channels channels
- Builds, maintain and extend a sustainable relationship within Procurement, Suppliers & Users
- Review, analyze and interpret various reports & drive global KPIs improvement
- Provide meaningful information on spend & buying pattern for category to procurement team and align with them to drive key strategic changes in category in order to reduce or optimize spend
- Identify opportunities to minimize operational & administrative activities for Procurement team
- Create & Maintain DTPs, Knowledge Management articles for procurement & users
- Actively involve in participating & conducting trainings on process, updates & compliance
- Be the subject matter expert of tasks and activities performed under Procurement Operations
- Get involved with team in helping to resolve critical/difficult issues and escalations
- Take lead in driving process improvements projects
Qualifications and Experience Required:
- University graduate, BCom, BBA, BBM
- A Master’s or bachelor’s degree in the direction of Supply Chain Management, (International) Business or Finance will be preferred
- Exposure in managing Local/Global Stakeholders
- 2-3years experience in a Source to Pay required, preferably in Sourcing & Procurement
- Customer care and team playing skills
- Proven analytical capabilities
- Familiar with e-Sourcing tools & methods
- Category Management Understanding
- 3+ years’ experience in running procurement tenders and auctions in a variety of tender systems (eg Ariba, Coupa etc) for various categories, commodities, projects & services gleaned from outside of Diageo having worked in an e-sourcing team from other large companies
- Customer / Stakeholder facing experience
- Passionate about customer/user experience
- Excellent communications skills.
- Good understanding of Source to Pay process
- Understanding of accounting
- Conversant with Coupa & SAP application
