Substation Designer Consultant Jobs in Ahmedabad - Confidential Company

Your duties will include some or all of the following:

• HV Network Design (11kV, 33kV and 132kV);
• Preparation of SLD, protection drawing, Layout drawing in Auto CAD for 11kV, 33kV (GIS) and 132kV (AIS) substations;
• LV SLD and design;
• Preparation of Multicore cable / containment layout within protection / switch room;
• Preparation of small power and lighting drawings for substation building;
• Understanding of Protection and switchgear schemes up to 132kV;
• HV/LV switchgear and cable sizing;
• Protection Settings and Co-Ordination Studies;
• Stand-by Generation Design;
• Liaising with electrical products (relay panels, marshalling boxes, switchgear panels, ISO, CB up to 132kV) suppliers;
• Identification of most suitable electrical product to be utilized in design;
• Liaising with other engineering disciplines (civils etc.);
• Liaising with contractors and clients;
• Commissioning and Commissioning Report writing;
• As build drawings from site etc. 

Desirable knowledge and Skills

• Fully conversant with ABB, Siemens and GE products (switchgear and transformer);
• Detailed knowledge of equipments (switchgear, cable and transformer) sizing that used in substation;
• Understanding of large substation projects and stakeholders;
• Good command over English in reading, writing and speaking.

Minimum Qualifications and experience

• B.E / M.E / M Tech in Electrical Engineering from reputed University;
• Minimum 5 years’ experience at OEM or Consultancy;
• Involvement of Solar PV substation project (up to 132kV) is desirable but not essential;
• Member of/or working towards Chartership.

Desirable IT & Software skills 

• Fully conversant with AutoCAD software in Electrical Power / HV discipline; 
• Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint. 

Salary range:

Rs. 3,00,000 to Rs. 8,00,000 per annum
