Project: NADP-Development of Cost Efficient Feeds for Enhancing Freshwater Fish Production
Assistant Project Manager/1 Post
Qualification:M.F.Sc in Aquaculture/ M.Sc Biochemistry
Essential experience: Minimum One year experience in Fish/Shrimp feed related on form research project
Pay Scale: Rs.25,000/-Per month
Feed Mill Operator/1 Post
Qualification: Minimum qualification: Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
Experience in extruder machine operation is preferred
Pay Scale : Rs.15,000
Age: 30 years as on 12/09/16

Tamil Nadu is endowed with a long coast line (1076 kms) and innumerable number of tanks, village ponds and several rivers. All these water resources have been providing much needed fish to people of the state. More than one million fishermen are engaged in catching and supplying much needed fish to the populations. Besides a large number of farmers are engaged in aquaculture which is the major growing sectors of state. The demand for fish has been on the raise but the supply from capture fisheries has been stagnated and efforts have been made to increase the fish production from the current level of 4.47 lakhs tonnes. The Government of Tamil Nadu have recognised the growing importance of fish in diets of people and necessity of improving the livelihoods of large numbers of fishers who are dependent on fishing.
