Teachers Eligibility Test 2017 conducts in Bihar School Examination Board
Educational Qualification:
For Teacher I-V Classes (Paper-I): 12th/ Intermediate class or its equivalent with minimum 45% marks, Candidates who are appearing in Final 2 year diploma in Elementary Education/ Four year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.ED)/2 year Diploma in Education in Special Education are also eligible to appear in Bihar TET. Candidates with BA/B.SC Degree with minimum 50% marks and B.ED qualification are also eligible.
Teacher VI -VIII Classes (Paper-II): BA/B.SC Degree / D.ED/BA/B.SC course with 45 % marks and passed/appearing in B.ED/Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and passed in Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.EI.ED) and BA/B.SC , B.ED or BA (ED)/BSC.(ED)/B.ED (Special Education) with 50% marks in BA or B.Sc.
Age : 38 yrs

Selection Procedure :
Selection will be based on Preliminary Written Exam. Written Exam will be in two paper. For the first paper qualifying to be a teacher till Class I-V.
For the second paper to be eligible to be a teacher up to VIII VIII. First paper and second paper- The person who wants to be eligible to become a teacher in both levels of class I-VIII will have to pass the qualification in both the papers.
