Qualification : (a) Post Graduate degree with at least 50% marks in relevant subject (or its equivalent) from recognized University and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) from NCTE recognized institution. OR (b) Post Graduate degree with 45% marks in relevant subject and obtained B.Ed degree (as per NCTE Regulations, 2OO2 or NCTE Regulations, 2007) from NCTE recognized institutions. OR (c) Post Graduate degree in relevant subject with at least 50% marks (or its equivalent) from recognized university and B.A. Ed. / B.Sc. Ed. from any NCTE recognized institution.
Pay : Rs. 10,130/-
Age : Up to 40 years as on 09.09.2016
Examination Fee : Rs.300/- for Unreserved Category and Rs. 200/- for SC/ST/PH category. Fee once paid will not be refunded. Fee must be paid through system generated challan within the scheduled date. Candidature of a candidate will rejected if TRBT does not receive the fee for whatsoever reason. Application of those candidates who paid fee after scheduled date will be rejected and fee will not be refunded
Selection Method : The selection will be done on the basis of Mark obtained in "selection Test for Post Graduate Teachers -Session-2015" subject to verification of certificates and correctness of information given by the candidates in the online application form. Candidates will be responsible for correctness of all particulars as furnished in the online application form. in case of any subsequent detection of false or defective information or suppression of facts, even after selection / appointment, his/ her candidature will be summarily rejected. Candidature of Candidates, who submit online application, disregarding the eligibility/ minimum educational qualification other criteria/ terms and conditions etc as laid down in this notification and in the "prospectus cum instructions: Selection Test for Post Graduate Teacher (STPGT) 2015", will be rejected. Candidates must fulfill all eligibility criteria / terms and conditions of this notification and "prospectus cum instructions Selection Test for Post Graduate Teacher (STPGT) 2016". Candidates will be invited for certificate verification depending on the number of post as requisitioned by the concerned department.

In accordance with the provisions of sub-section (1) of section 23 of the RTE Act, National council for Teacher Education had vide Notification dated 23rd August, 2010 laid down the minimum qualifications for a person to be eligible for appointment as a teacher in various levels of classes. It had been inter alia provided that one of the essential qualifications for a person to be eligible for appointment as a teacher for classes I to VIII in any of the schools referred to in clause (n) of section 2 of the RTE Act is that she / he should pass the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) which will be conducted by the appropriate Government in accordance with the Guidelines framed by the National council for Teacher Education (NCTE).
