We are seeking a Technical Analyst to provide Product Support to our clients. This is a tremendous opportunity to develop business, product and technical skills. The position affords a unique opportunity to leverage existing technical expertise and develop/enhance domain knowledge and develop a Front-To-Back, Cross Asset view of the Financial Markets.

We are seeking a Technical Analyst to provide Product Support to our clients. This is a tremendous opportunity to develop business, product and technical skills. The position affords a unique opportunity to leverage existing technical expertise and develop/enhance domain knowledge and develop a Front-To-Back, Cross Asset view of the Financial Markets.
Responsibilities
- Analyze the code to come up with possible scenarios under which the client maybe facing the problem and work towards identifying the source of the problem
- Work closely with Business Analysts to analyze and investigate bugs to identify root cause
- Write test programs when required, in order to simulate the issue being faced by clients
- Work directly with clients and resolve API-related issues
- Responsible for mentoring new TA recruits
- 3 to 6 years Experience in commercial software including Core Java, JBoss, Swing, JDBC, RMI, SQL, XML (exceptional candidates with less experience will be considered)
- Excellent object-oriented analysis, design & development skills
- Good Core Java development experience.
- Knowledge of relational databases and SQL including working experience with Sybase and/or Oracle
- Strong problem solving and debugging skills
- A basic understanding of finance is required
- 1 to 4 years relevant, working experience within the banking/financial industry. Preference will be given to candidates with domain experience in developing software or implementing software in support of any or all of the following asset classes: credit derivatives, interest rate derivatives, equity derivatives, fixed income, or FX (Front Office or Back Office)
- Particular value will be placed on understanding basic concepts of trade capture and trade processing
- Strong Mathematical or Analytical Background is a plus
- Must be able to work with minimal supervision, be a fast learner, self-motivated, team player, and collaborator
- Good oral and written communication skills are essential
