4. Essential Qualifications:
A. Technical Associate (Experimental)
a. MSc or equivalent(or BSc with 3years laboratory experience) in Genetics/Life Sciences/Biochemistry/ r elated discipline
b. Minimum 5 yearsof experience ofworking in highthroughput genomics platforms (massively parallel sequencing and microarray)
c. Proficiencyin massively parallel sequencing library preparation and/or operation of sequencing/microarray platforms
B. Technical Associate (Computational)
a. M. Tech/MSc/MCA degree/equivalen t in computer science / Bioinformatics or a related discipline
b. Minimum 5 yearsof experience ofworking in analysis of massively parallel DNA sequencing data
c. Proficiency of working in Unix(Linux) environment and demonstrated experience in UNIX command line.
5. Desirable Qualifications:
A. Technical Associate (Experimental)
a. Experience in wholegenom e/targeted sequencing, RNA-Seq, GWAS and Methylation Array
b. Experience in laboratory automation platforms
c. Experience in a servicelaboratory
B. Technical Associate (Computational)
a. Experiencein handling and installation of softwarepackag es, genomicdatabas es and data analysis pipelines
b. Proficiency in programming in C/C++ or python
c. Strong knowledge in variant calling and RNA seqanalysis.
d. Experience in a servicelaboratory
6. Nature of Duty: Hands-on massively parallel sequencing, microarray data analysis, data analysis pipeline operations as well as other related laboratory activities
