Engagement of Three (3) Technical Personnel on Contract Basis in Hydraulic Study Department (HSD) of SMP, Kolkata for a period of three years

SMP, Kolkata intends to engage Three (3) Technical Personnel on Contract Basis in Hydraulic Study Department. Applications are invited from Indian nationals for the aforesaid contractual engagement for three years, the details of which are given below: [The numbers of engagement are indicative only. 3. Essential Qualification:

i. Have passed at least 3 years Diploma Course in Electronics / Electrical Engineering of State Council of Technical Education, West Bengal /from any other Indian state / equivalent

ii. Knowledge of swimming (Self declaration of swimming is required if no certificate from reputed organization is possessed) is essential.

4. Experience: Have at least 3 years working experience on electronics instruments.

5. Desirable Experience: Working experience in maintenance / operation of any of the following fields: Radar / Data Link / Communication Equipment / Survey Equipment / PC / Computer Networking.

6. Consolidated Remuneration On contract basis @ Rs.32,293/- (Rupees Thirty Two Thousand Two Hundred Ninety Three only) per month for a period of three years. The incumbent will be required to work twelve (12) hours per day for six (6) days in a week.

7. Job Description:

i. The incumbent may be posted at Hydraulic Study Department’s different outstations at Haldia, Sagar, Frasergunj, Dadanpatra, or any site / on board vessels for operation of Electronics and Electrical equipments.

ii. The incumbent will be required to work on Radar surveillance system of SMP, Kolkata (VTMS) / Differential Global Positioning system / different marine navigational aid equipments like Current meter, Acoustic Doppler current profiler, different types of echo sounder, Communication System, Multibeam and computerized systems etc. During work the personnel may be required to attend faults of the equipment in the cabin on radar Tower of approx 60 mts. height approachable through ladder / lift / hoist, as the case may be.
