- As a Technical Support Engineer, you will provide technical support to customers and customer support personnel focused on diagnosing, troubleshooting, fixing and debugging Karthavya products.
- Support incidents can range from various hardware and/or software issues with our software and hardware to multi-system, multi-vendor, and multi-network interoperability issues.
- Provide support to customers (internal and external) via telephone, email and remote access to the range of services
- Work closely with customers and internal cross-functional teams to diagnose and resolve technical issues.
- Diagnose and resolve problems be it bugs, feature requests or data change requests
- Get the root cause fixed on recurring issues
- Provide weekly reports on bugs and issues raised along with the resolution times
- Train and educate end users on the usage of the features and tool
- Document, coordinate, and prioritize customer feedback and ideas into engineering requirements for future enhancements.
- Collaborate with other Technical Support Engineers who may need assistance working a case; utilize your area of expertise to help them in order to most quickly facilitate solutions for customers.
- Escalate cases to other more senior Technical Support Engineers and/or Escalation Engineers when the problem is too complex or falls out of specific area of expertise.
- Research customer issues in a timely manner and follows up directly with customers on recommendations and action plans.
- Extensive knowledge of how the Internet works (HTTP and DNS).
- Knowledge of common network protocols (TCP/IP, ICMP) and tools.
- Knowledge on basic troubleshooting in Windows & Linux.
- Hands on experience working with Linux commands.
- Aggressive problem diagnosis and creative problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced environment, learn rapidly and master diverse technologies and techniques.
- Customer focus, acts with the customer in mind, anticipates future needs and dedicated to providing superior service.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to disseminate information in a clear and correct manner to both business and technical audiences.
