Job Description:

The roles and responsibilities of the Technical Writer include the following:

Working closely with the product development teams to understand new features, gather necessary knowledge, and document product features
Planning, developing, and supporting software product technical documentation, including but not limited to product user guides, administration guides, and inline product help content
Using photographs, drawings, diagrams, animation, and charts that increase the users’ understanding
Adhering to compliance procedures and internal/operational risk controls in accordance with any and all applicable regulatory standards, requirements, and policies
Desired Skills and Experience:
Education—Bachelor’s degree in journalism, English, or mass communications
Experience—2-5 years of relevant experience
Excellent command of English
Experience of writing software end-user documentation and training materials (ideally for cloud-based platforms and services)
Knowledge of media production, communication, and dissemination techniques and methods
Knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum and training design, teaching and instruction for individuals and groups, and the measurement of training effects
Excellent writing and communication skills
Ability to learn technical information quickly
Willingness to be proactive in seeking information
Experience with the entire product documentation life cycle, including the ability to plan and organize writing projects, manage technical reviews, and produce documents within schedule, with minimal or no supervision
