Role: Technical Writer

The teams work on training and development projects for Fortune 500 clients that impact their employees and their partners.
Professional Responsibilities:
- Produce high-quality training material that meets applicable standards and is appropriate for its intended audience. By applying tested instructional design theory, practice and methods.
- Actively manage team, upskill and lead technical content development.
- Analyze existing source content and smart modification to add value to content.
Requirements:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to conduct one-on-one interviews for content acquisition with subject-matter experts, either in person or by phone
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and remain organized in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work with limited supervision
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
- Familiarity with computer technology and ability to handle end-user software independently
- Ability to understand Industrial engineering content and translate them into instructionally sound materials.
- Any teaching background is a bonus as most of the materials being developed would be taught in a class room
- Intellectually curious to understand new technologies.
- Proven experience in technical writing, such as software documentation, along with excellent written skills in English.
- Should be a good motivator, with lot of energy and enthusiasm with a proven ability to learn quickly, multi-task and work independently as well as part of a team.
- Ability to deliver high quality training material by paying attention to precise detail.
- Should be able to adapt and develop quick understanding to the technological changes and make them easily understandable in text and pictures.
- Should be able to work with team effectively and increase the productivity.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint. Working knowledge of articulate tools and Camtasia and exposure or hands on with learning management system will be a plus.
- Practical Exposure to any live systems will be an added advantage.
- Should be from B.tech/ BE background
Responsibilities:
· Interview and gather content from subject-matter experts.
· Analyze other source materials for content
· Draft course content, e.g. analysis documents and scripts
· Maintain accurate records of client requests and edits
· Select photos and other images to be used in courses
· Construct courses using proprietary content-development tools
· Proofread and edit all text
· Maintain professional relationships with clients
