Brief description :
As a technical writer you possess the ability to understand technical or scientific material and document the details in a succinct manner, so that people with non-technical background can easily comprehend.
- You will be responsible for working with the business and technical personnel at Binary Fountain to produce easy to understand documents for staff, clients and other parties.
- You will couple your industry knowledge and writing skills to produce API documentation, high-level process flows, manuals, guidelines and other materials including customer facing technical documents such as high-level product architecture documents.
- You will also be called upon to edit existing documents and keep records of any changes made.
- You may work with vendors and project/product managers to assemble materials for product descriptions and user manuals.
- Organize material and complete writing assignment according to set standards regarding order, clarity, conciseness, consistency, style, and terminology. Maintain records and files of work and revisions.
- Edit, standardize, or make changes to material prepared by other writers or company personnel.
- Confer with customer representatives, business analysts, software engineers, or project/product managers to establish technical specifications and to determine subject material to be developed for publication.
- Review published materials and recommend revisions or changes in scope, format, content, and methods of reproduction and binding.
- Select photographs, drawings, sketches, diagrams, and charts to illustrate material.
- Study drawings, specifications, mockups, and product samples to integrate and delineate technology, operating procedure, and production sequence and detail.
- Interview production and engineering personnel and read journals and other material to become familiar with product technologies and production methods.
- Understand system working and user interaction in detail to determine operating procedure and document the same.
- Analyze developments in specific field to determine need for revisions in previously published materials and development of new material.
- Draw sketches to illustrate software deployment schemes and networking schemes
- This Role reports to the Technical Program Manager.
