Job Description
Applications are invited for the post of a Technician contractual position for a Wellcome Trust – DBT India Alliance sponsored research project in the field of neural cell biology/neuroimmunology/neurovirology undertaken in the Department of Biological Sciences, IISER Kolkata.
Project Name & Agency: Wellcome Trust – DBT India Alliance sponsored project titled “Role of Connexin-47 in axon myelin interaction during viral induced demyelination of the central nervous system.”
Technician/ No. of Vacancy: 1
Minimum Eligibility: M.Sc in any branch of Biological Sciences from a recognized University/Institute.
Desirable Qualifications: 2-3 years of prior research experience of working in a cell biology lab with training to work in animal cell culture and basic cell biology techniques such as protein/RNA extraction, iumnnoblotting, immunostaining and microscopy. Prior experience in small animal handling is desirable. Must have basic knowledge of using computers for record keeping and data analysis.
Salary: 18,000/- per month (consolidated)
