Job Description

Job Purpose:

This role is responsible for acquiring, processing, analysing and reporting technology risk and controls data to provide insight and technical perspective required for effectively overseeing Technology Risk Management across the business.
Role will also be required to undertake cyber threat intelligence analysis and deliver high quality reporting to inform Executive decision making.

Accountabilities & Responsibilities:

To develop and maintain the technology risk analytics and reporting framework to support the delivery of company technology risk oversight programme spanning digital strategy, data, cyber, supply chain and resilience risks.
To maintain the risk appetite statements and limits for technology risk and deliver MI against the minimum standards and thresholds using technology risk analytics.
To engage, acquire and analyse outputs generated by controls monitoring functions and groups for building a second line view of threats and exposures, as well as effectiveness of controls.
To provide strategic and operational cyber threat analysis focused on the business impact, defining and monitoring threats (including external sources, Group, FS-ISAC) to feed into governance and MI.
To maintain a known baseline of technology risks and controls based on defined qualitative and quantitative criteria and thresholds for technology events of interest.
To translate technical information and analysis using a risk and regulatory context to produce data- backed insights for senior business and risk management leaders.
To provide MI relating to the quality of controls in place covering strategic digital, data, cyber, supply chain and resilience risks.
To manage the risk and control identification process, aiding the operational risk process, translating between first line risk and control level and guiding the first line to ensure scored and categorized risks. Provide feedback to the first line on recommendations for management action.
To evaluate the operating effectiveness of mitigating controls on a periodic basis (e.g. quarterly).
To manage the regular reporting and escalation to senior management including the escalation of exceptional high risk elements to senior management.
To manage the monitoring and reporting on Key Risk Indicators and Key Control Indicators.
To participate in the annual programme of deep dives and thematic reviews, where these relate to technology risk processing and understand the lessons learnt.
To support the delivery of gap assessments against Group Security policy, standards and operational risk requirements.

Qualification:

Graduate/Post-Graduate degree in Engineering/Data Science/ Mathematics/Statistics

Experience Required:

At least 6 - 10 years of relevant experience in the areas of responsibility, directly delivering technology risk analytics and reporting activities.
Exposure to technology risk management or related functions within Financial Services companies,
Consulting or Technology supporting financial services clients. Experience operating in a second line of defence context would be a significant plus.
Significant experience of reporting and presenting technology risk and controls information with the wider business, regulatory and industry context, in a simple and effective way
Significant hands-on experience in developing, operating and maintaining a technology risk analytics and reporting framework with a concentration in one or more of the following technology risk areas:
Digital Strategy Risk
Cyber Risk
Data Risk
Supply Chain Risk
Resilience Risk

Knowledge & Skills Required:

Expert knowledge of technology risk and controls analysis and reporting frameworks, methodologies, processes, tools and techniques
Detailed knowledge of one or more technology risk domains:Cyber Risk
