Job Description
- The telephone operator is responsible for the daily operation of the hospital switchboard, and announces various paging codes in accordance with emergency plans operation
- Answers all incoming telephone calls in a professional and courteous manner, and routes calls accurately to the appropriate departments, patients and personnel within the hospital.
- Operator must be required to screen each outgoing call, getting the name and relevant details from the caller
- Provide excellent customer service when responding and forwarding incoming calls. Exercise the ability to obtain sufficient information from the caller to reach the desired department or individual.
- Maintains the confidentiality of patient, visitor, physician, staff information.
- Keeps up-to-date procedures and telephone numbers in proper order for all operators to review.
- Reports telephone equipment problems to IT Department
- Preferred with BPO Experience
