About Company
Army School Jammu Cantt, was established in 1975 with a humble start of 5 students on its roll in Satwari Cantonment area and was named Tiger Cub School. The Tiger Canteen opposite the War Memorial was the school building then. Later in July 1984, it was rechristened Tiger Army School and acquired the status of Primary School. With the growing demand and need of time, secondary level classes were introduced in 1986. In the same year the affiliation by the Centre Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi was accorded to the school. Two years later, the school was shifted to the present location. It was inaugurated by Maj Gen Ashok Verma on Jan 18, 1988. It was in this year that the first batch of 12 students appeared in class X exam of CBSE. In due course the school was upgraded to Senior Secondary level offering Science stream only. In the year 1995-96 Commerce stream was also started on popular demand.
