ICECD is an international resource organization contributing to the process of global development since 1986, recognized as a centre of excellence by UN-ESCAP. The major interventions have been in the area of Entrepreneurship Development, MSME Development & Employment creation through skills training among rural and tribal youth/ women/ widows/ disadvantaged groups. ICECD implemented Training of Trainers and transferred these to over 2500 national and 3200 international organizations between 1986 and till date across India and +65 developing countries.
The Institute is a pioneer in developing a unique need based training module for developing entrepreneurial capability amongst the women, young adults and youth to make them capable of creating and running their micro-small-medium businesses. The Centre offers various business development and socio-political development services, skill development programs, training, research and capacity development support to large number of Human Resources of National and International organizations, government departments and other stakeholders.
The major target groups for ICECD interventions have been the “Bottom of the Society” persons, with the focus being on identifying “THE CAPABLE” among these disadvantaged groups for turning them into socio economically empowered. The tasks are: facilitating their development through formal/informal training and linkages.
