About the internship

Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Reading and thoroughly understanding the context of the given material, using specialized dictionaries and translation tools
2. Proofreading finished pieces of work
3. Reading the given material and researching industry-specific terminologies
4. Converting text from a language to one or more
5. Ensuring translated content conveys original meaning and tone
6. Cross-referencing specialized dictionaries and translation tools to check the quality of translation
7. Proofreading translated texts for grammar, spelling and punctuation accuracy
8. Editing content with an eye towards maintaining its original format (e.g. font and structure)

Note: We are looking for a language translator and translation checker for our upcoming projects. To be successful in this role, you should have a keen eye for detail and be fluent in at least two languages in addition to your native language. Ultimately, you will provide ready-to-use translated content that meets our internal needs and helps us reach a broader audience.

Who can apply

1. are available for full time (in-office) internship

2. can start the internship between 24th Aug'20 and 28th Sep'20

3. are available for duration of 6 months

4. have relevant skills and interests

Other requirements

1. Must have proven work experience as a translator, interpreter or in a similar role

2. Must have fluency in at least two languages, in addition to your native language

3. Must have excellent proofreading skills with the ability to identify grammar, spelling, and punctuation errors

4. Must have good knowledge of content editing tools

5. Must have familiarity with translation software
