Technical Assistant /Lab Technician job position in Translational Health Science and Technology Institute (THSTI)

Technical Assistant /1 Post

Qualification:  Graduate in Life Sciences or equivalent with minimum 1 year’ experience in research laboratory Or Standard 12 with minimum 4 years’ experience in research laboratory Desirable:  Basic techniques in molecular biology (genomic and plasmid DNA isolation, gel electrophoresis, polymerase chain reaction, ELISA, Western blotting, spectrophotometry, column chromatography) . Maintenance of prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells. Techniques in analytical chemistry (i.e. GC/HPLC/UV-Vis/TGA/DSC)  Microscopy (optical/fluorescence/ electron microscopy). MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Photoshop and other commonly used web-based bioinformatics tools.

Pay Scale : Rs. 24,000

Age:  30 years

Lab Technician (Diagnostics) /1 Post

Qualification: Graduate in Life Sciences or equivalent Or Standard 12 with minimum 3 years’ experience in research laboratory

Desirable: Basic techniques in molecular biology (genomic and plasmid DNA isolation, gel electrophoresis, polymerase chain reaction, ELISA, spectrophotometry, column chromatography)  Maintenance of prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells , Techniques in analytical chemistry including GC/HPLC/UV-Vis/TGA/DSC  Microscopy (optical/ fluorescence/ electron).

Pay Scale: Rs.20,000

Age: 30 years

Lab Technician (Devices & Instruments) /1 Post

Qualification: Graduate in Physical Sciences or equivalent Or Diploma in Mechanical/ Electrical/ Electronics/ Instrumentation/ Chemical/ Materials/ Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent with minimum 1 year’ relevant experience Essential: The candidate should have a basic knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Power Point .

Desirable:  Minimum two years’ of relevant experience in a reputed research organisation ,Basic computer aided design (AutoDesk Inventor or Solid Works™ preferrable) , Electricial/electronic circuit design, programming of onboard ICs and computing devices such as Audrino/ Raspberry Pi, integration with electromechanical systems (motors, piezoelectric crystals etc.) and optics (lasers, optical fibers, bandwidth filters) as per design ,Rapid prototyping, including 3-D printing and electrical circuit breadboard prototyping , Techniques in analytical chemistry such as FTIR/SPR/ NMR/HPLC/UVVis/TGA/DSC , Microscopy (optical/ fluorescence/ electron)
