Job Description
- Sound knowledge of Stress Analysis using Caesar II software or equivalent for critical piping systems in power plants (e.g. MS, HRH, CRH, Extractions, Feed water discharge etc.)
- Knowledge of seismic acceleration calculation.
- Selection of various type of pipe supports (spring hanger, snubber, strut, etc.)
- Preparation of technical specification for spring hangers / rigid hangers, struts, snubbers, etc.
- Bid evaluation for spring hangers / rigid hangers, struts, snubbers, etc
- Review of vendor drawings for spring hangers / rigid hangers, struts, snubbers, etc.
- Review of hanger fabrication drawings.
- Co-ordination with steel structure team for finalization of support arrangement, load data, etc.
- Pipe attachment strength calculations like Trunions, Lugs etc
- Sound knowledge of PDS and Navis Works.
- Good coordination skill to handle internal & external interfaces.
