Qualification

For Junior Engineer (Trainee) (E &M) - (Post Code 05 to 07) : (a) Thorough Knowledge of Hindi in Devnagari Script. If the candidate has not passed High School or equivalent examination in Hindi, he/she has to clear the an exam conducted by the Registrar, Departmental Examinations Govt. of UP, within 3 years of joining. (b) 03 years diploma examination Electrical/ Mechanical/ Electronics/ Control and Instrumentation/ Instrumentation Engineering from a institution recognized by State Government. Or City and Guides London institute, Final Grade examination in Electrical Engineering Practice Post I and II held after June 3, 1950. Or 03 years All India Diploma Examination in Electrical/Mechanical/Electronics/ Control and Instrumentation/Instrumentation Engineering conducted by the "All India Council for Technical Education", Government of India, Delhi Polytechnic. Or 03 years Diploma Examination in Electrical/ Mechanical/ Electronics/ Control and Instrumentation/ Instrumentation Engineering conducted by any of the Universities in India incorporated by any act of the Central/ State legislature. Or National Certificate in Electrical/Mechanical/Electronics/Control and Instrumentation/Instrumentation Engineering awarded by the "All India Council for Technical Education, Government of India." Or  Final Examination held by the State Board of Technical Education, Uttar Pradesh for 02 years, Diploma Courses in Mechanical Engineering (Machine Tools Technology), Electrical Engineering (Electrical Technology) and Electronics/ Control and Instrumentation/Instrumentation Engineering in respect of students trained at the under mentioned institutions. (i) Government Polytechnic, Lucknow, Nainital Polytechnic, Nainital.

For Junior Engineer (Trainee) Civil - (Post Code 8) : (a) Thorough Knowledge of Hindi in Devnagari Script. Or 03 years Diploma Examination in Civil Engineering conducted by any of the Universities in India incorporated by any act of the Central State legislature. National Certificates Civil Engineering awarded by the "All India Council for Technical Education, Government of India" 

Pay Scale 

Junior Engineer (T) : Rs.9,300-34,800/- GP Rs. 4,200/- 

Technician Grade-II : Rs.5,200-20,200/- GP Rs. 2,600/-

Age Limit as on 01.07.2016 : For Junior Enqineer(T) & Technician Grade-II:- Minimum 18 yrs & Maximum 40 yrs.

Bond : The amount of Rs. 2.00 lacs for the post of Junior Engineer and Technician grade-II for the period of 5 years shall have to be submitted at the time of joining by the candidates.  

Placement : The selected candidates for the post of Junior Engineer(Trainee) shall undergo for minimum one year training at site on Head Quarter wherever they have been posted. They shall be posted at a location within the Nigam after successful completion of training. The job however is transferable. Successful Candidates (JE(T) & TG-II) during their service tenure, can be placed in any of the functions at any Hydro Electric Project i.e. Rihand, Obra, Matatila & Khara/Corporate office of the Nigam or at positions in the joint venture & subsidiary companies of UPJVNL in accordance with the rules & regulations of UPJVNL.

(A) For the post of Junior Engineer (Trainee)

(i) Rs. 700/- (For General & OBC candidates)

(ii) Rs. 500/- ( For SC/ ST Candidates)  

(B) For the post of Technician Grade-II

(i) Rs. 600/- (For General & OBC candidates)

(ii) Rs. 400/- ( For SC/ ST Candidates) (C) No fees for Physically handicapped candidates

Selection Procedure : Selection Processes for above posts will be based on Written Test (Computer Based Test) CBT and documents verification. Computer Based Test (CBT) will be held at Ghaziabad, Gorakhpur, Kanpur, Lucknow, Meerut & Varanasi Cities.
