• We are looking for an experienced and talented UI designer to design and shape unique, user-centric product experiences. 
• The ideal candidate should have the ability to work with agile teams of developers, other UX designers and customers.
  
• The Job location is Pune, India. 
• The candidate is required to work closely with our chief UI designer in the UK and the the development teams in India and the UK.
  

Main responsibilities:

• Design and implement innovative solutions for our clients
• Create wireframes, storyboards, UI/UX architecture, interaction flows, develop prototypes
• Work closely with clients, product managers and developers to bring ideas to life
• Have the ability to understand a user’s needs and help shape an interface that is straightforward, clear and easy to use
• Ability to understand different design philosophies to create a “clean”, well designed UI
• Help establish and promote design guidelines, best practices and standards
• Troubleshoot, test and maintain the UI and related components to ensure strong optimization and functionality
• Have a great attention to detail, both for their own work and for others’
• Have a basic understanding of programming and databases to understand “what is possible” under time and budget constraints.
• Be able to clearly communicate the merits of any interface to developers.
• Communicate with team members located in India and abroad
• Must have common sense and apply this to everything they do
• As the candidate will be working closely with with the chief UX designer and at times communicating with clients, he or she must have an excellent grasp of English both written and verbal.
• Be willing to try new things, make mistakes and accept failure.

The candidate must have the following technical skills:

• Must be a creative person with 4 – 8 years of proven experience in UI design
• Responsive web development using HTML5 and CSS3
• Experience of working on Dreamweaver or similar UI designing tools
• Experience of working on Adobe suite of products mainly Photoshop and Illustrator
• Knowledge and experience with Bootstrap, jQuery UI components
• Experience of designing UI for Mobile applications
• Knowledge of Sass, JavaScript would be a big advantage
• Should be up-to-date with the latest UI trends, techniques, and technologies
• Experience of working in an Agile environment with experience of using tools such as Jira
• Knowledge of version control tools such as Git
• Good knowledge of web developer tools required such as Firebug, Chrome developer tools
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and the ability to learn quickly
• Creative approach to problem-solving with the ability to focus on details while maintaining the “big picture” view
• The candidate must provide examples of previous work, both work that they have conceptualised and work that has been through the entire development process. 
  
• In addition, it would be useful to have examples of others’ best practice and explain why it is interesting or effective.
