The recruitment process for filling up of the following project posts on Contractual basis in the ad-hoc research project entitled “Prevalence of the natural Wolbachia infections in the wild populations of Aedesaegypti (Linn mosquitoes) from Tamil Nadu, South India” at ICMR-VCRC, Puducherrynotified vide our Advt. No. 21/Project/2021 dated 23.02.2021 and Notice dated 04.03.2021 in ICMR-VCRC website are scheduled to be held on the following dates.

No. 21/Project/2021 dated 23.02.2021 and Notice dated 04.03.2021 in ICMR-VCRC website are scheduled to be held on the following dates.
1. Name of the post: ProjectTechnician-III
2. Number of Post: 01 (One) – (Reserved for SC)
3. Essential Qualification:
12th Standard pass in science subjects with any one of the following
(i) Two years Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology or
(ii) One year Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology + one year experience in a recognized organization or
(iii) Two years field/laboratory experience* in Government recognized organization B.Sc., degree shall be treated as 03 years experience
4. Nature of duties: Field survey for collection of mosquitoes, molecular biology related work such as mosquito diagnostic PCR, Wolbachia screening PCR, quantification of Wolbachia, characterization of Wolbachia using marker genes
5. Consolidated Salary: 18,000/-
6. Contract period: Six months (initially) and likely to be extended as per requirement
7. Place of posting: Puducherry
