Job Description

Applications are invited for Two posts of Veterinary Officers on contract basis in the scheme "RF-03, under subhead wages". The initial appointment will be for six months which will be extended subject to satisfactory performance and availability of the funds.

The posts are purely temporary-and the services of the incumbent are liable to be terminated at any time without any prior notice.
The incumbent will have no right what so ever for absorption in the regular university service.

a. Emoluments: Rs. 25,000/- per month

b. Essential Oualifications: 1. B.V.Sc. & A.H. with a minimum OCPA of6.0/10 and registered with VCI/PVC.

2. Knowledge of Punjabi up to Matric level. The condition of knowledge of Punjabi up to matric level is however, relaxable, if the candidate is found deserving otherwise.

c. Desirable Qualifications: M. V .Sc in clinical discipline (Surgery/Medicine/Gynaecology).

d. Job Responsibilities:1. Attend OPD and emergency clinical cases on holidays and off hours according to the duty roaster.

2. Each VO will have to attend all clinical cases irrespective of their field of specialization (if VO is M.V.Sc.)

3. Registration of cases, dispense of medicines and do medication/treatment.

4. Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.
