Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT University) invites application for the position Project Associate
Project Title: “Additive Manufacturing for fostering Transdisciplinary Research”.
Duration: 4 Years [48 Months]
Salary: (A) Project Associate II
(i) Rs. 35000/Month + 8% HRA [I and II year];
(ii) Rs. 42000 / Month + 8% HRA [III and IV year]
(B) Project Associate I
(i) Rs. 31000/ Month +8% HRA [I and II Year];
(ii) Rs. 35000/Month + 8% HRA [III and IV Year]
Educational Qualification: (A) Project Associate – I (No. of Post: 1)
(i) Qualification: M.Tech. (Nanotechnology, Materials Science and Engineering, Chemical engineering, Environmental Engineering); M.Sc. (Physics, Nanoscience, Materials science, Chemistry)
(ii) Desirable Qualification: Priority will be given to the candidates having First Class with desirable GATE Score / Valid UGC-CSIR NET Junior Research Fellowship/ NET-Lectureship / SLET qualified candidates or any equivalent fellowship with desirable knowledge in 3D printing technologies. Preference will be given to the candidates having journals publication.
(B) Project Associate – I (No. of Post: 1)
(i) Qualification: B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering / Metallurgical Engineering/Manufacturing Engineering / Production Engineering and M. Tech in Welding Engineering / Material Science and Engineering with greater than 6.5 CGPA or 70 % marks in UG and PG.
(ii) Desirable Qualification: Candidates with desirable GATE score / and research publications having adequate knowledge in welding processes/ welding metallurgy/ materials testing and characterization/ additive manufacturing. Preference will be given to the candidates having journals publication.
(C) Project Associate – II (No. of Posts: 2)
(i) Qualification: M. Tech in Welding Engineering/ Material Science and Engineering/ Metallurgical Engineering/ Production Engineering/ Mechanical Engineering/ CAD/CAM/ Engineering Design with a minimum of 70 % marks in PG and 60% Marks in UG.
(ii) Desirable Qualification: Candidates who are having desirable GATE score/ and research publications with adequate knowledge in materials testing and characterization/ additive manufacturing and finite element methods.
