Job Description
• Hands on experience on VMware admin experience configuring/deploying new VM servers, Resource Management and VM migrations.
• Strong VMware ESX/vSphere 5.x and 6.x Experience.
• Experience in P2V, VMotion, Storage VMotion, FT etc.
• Basic working knowledge of SAN
• VMware (ESX /VSphere) support Experience, VCP certification(desired)
• Knowledge and hands-on on vROps.
• Management & configuration of Virtual Center and plugins like Update Manager.
• Good Knowledge of Hyper-Converged Infrastructure
• Knowledge on VMWare ESX Server Hardware setup with HA/DRS Clustering/VMotion
• Must have knowledge and experience in VMWare and virtual infrastructures
• Must be able to troubleshoot VMware-ESX related incidents
• Must be able to Patch and maintain ESX host servers
• Must have extensive knowledge of SAN storage and be able to present storage to ESX hosts
• Good knowledge on blade servers: Dell, HP, Cisco UCS
• Working experience on VMware Consolidated Backup, Update Manager, Enterprise Converter.
• Experience in at least one backup tool BackupExec /NetBackup /Arc serve/ Legato.
• Must be willing to work in 24/7 support environment.
