The selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:
1. Developing features for existing web applications in Python/Django
2. Using ORM (object-relational mapper) libraries
3. Integrating databases (PostgreSQL)
4. Developing REST APIs to consume in the frontend
5. Writing frontend using HTML/CSS/JavaScript
