Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Provide graphic design support to all aspects of development, collaboration, training, reporting, documentation and outreach, etc. that require artistic and graphic design support.
• Shall use the latest technologies associated with digital graphic design and shall ensure that all related design support is compatible and web standards and adheres to industry best practices.
• Executing all visual design stages from concept to final hand-off to engineering
• Conceptualizing original website design ideas that bring simplicity and user friendliness to complex roadblocks
• Create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows and site maps to communicate interaction and design ideas
• Stay current with emerging technologies in new media, particularly design programs such as InDesign, QuarkXPress, FreeHand, Illustrator, Photoshop, 3ds Max, Acrobat, Director, Dreamweaver and Flash
• Ensure that any web content, SharePoint sites, user interfaces, etc. comply with guidelines and/or style guides and will ensure that said documentation is current and reflects the most current and up to date guidance.

Job Requirements and Essential Skills

• Possesses and applies expertise on multiple complex work assignments which are broad in nature, requiring originality and innovation in determining how to accomplish tasks.
• Has the ability to apply a comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and high impact assignments.
• Proven experience as a web designer
• Demonstrable graphic design skills with a strong portfolio
• Solid experience in creating wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows and site maps
• Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator or other visual design and wire-framing tools
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS and JavaScript for rapid prototyping
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
• Excellent visual design skills with sensitivity to user-system interaction
• Ability to solve problems creatively and effectively
• Up-to-date with the latest Web trends, techniques and technologies
• BS/MS in Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction Design or a Visual Arts subject
• Plans and leads major technology assignments. Evaluates performance results and recommends major changes affecting short-term project growth and success.
• Functions as a technical expert across multiple project assignments.
• May supervise others.
• Ability to work on a team as well as independently with minimal supervision to achieve project milestones and deadlines.
• Excellent oral and written communications skills.
