Job Description
We are looking for 3-10 years experienced engineers with an emphasis on Operations Engineering and Data Management to provide wells engineering support across ExxonMobil’s global portfolio.

Responsibilities
- Provide engineering support in drilling, completions, well performance area to ExxonMobil wells teams based on modeling and analysis.
- Monitor drilling / production data and provide insights and recommendations based on analysis
- Work with Wells teams to provide design and / or operational support for cost effective execution
- Provide well surveillance to establish trends, recognize deviations, and identify data quality issues
- Generate plots and reports to communicate well performance and leverage ExxonMobil subject matter expert advice and company best practices to improve performance
- Collaborate with engineers and operations personnel on global asset teams
- Operations engineering activities – provide dedicated field support in well performance, production optimization, artificial lift, well intervention opportunity identification, economic analysis, opex evaluation, completions and procedure generation.
- Quality Engineering activities – provide procurement quality support to wells teams including vendor qualification & audits, creating & stewarding quality plans, third party inspector stewardship, requests for exceptions processing, root cause analysis, and assisting in developing & maintaining quality performance database for vendors.
- Integrate with adjacent disciplines – facilities, reservoir & geoscience teams to provide synergistic solutions to global wells teams.
- Bachelor or Master degree from a recognized university in petroleum, mechanical, chemical, civil, or electrical engineering with minimum GPA 7.0 and above
- 3-10 years of work experience in the upstream oil and gas production industry
- Strong analytical skills to evaluate critical design & operating parameters through data and trend analysis
- Experience in wells design, well performance monitoring, troubleshooting, or optimization of well performance and well management
- Knowledge of one or more of the basic wells engineering concepts including:
- Well construction – drilling techniques, well control, fluids property management, drilling mechanics, performance monitoring
- Well completions – completion designs, well performance analysis, operational considerations & well operability limits
- Well management – production analysis & optimization, well performance methods, well intervention techniques, various artificial lift methods and systems
- Experience in programming languages such as Python will be an advantage
- Experience working in Tableau or Power BI or SpotFire is preferred
- Experience with engineering applications such as WellCat, WellView, CARTE will be an advantage
- Flexibility to work in shifts
