Project Associate/01 Post
Qualification : Ph.D. in Biological / Social Sciences or related fields . Desirable : Experience in the Himalaya or in the field of natural resource assessment and use by humans, ecosystem services, human-wildlife interface issues. Proven Science / popular writing and communication/ publication skills. Web page maintenance, networking, citizen science programme, outreach & extension
Fellowship : PA-I Rs. 36,000 PA-II Rs. 38,000 PA-II Rs, 40,000 + HRA
Age: up to 40 years
Project Fellow/01 Post
Qualification : Post Graduate Degree in Wildlife Sciences/ Zoology/ Forestry/ Environmental Sciences or Management/ Life Sciences/ Biodiversity and Conservation/ Social Sciences with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks from a recognized University. Desirable : Prior experience and interest in field data collection for natural resource use by people, humanwildlife interface issues and their management Ecosystem services, Ecosystem management Science writing and communication skills
Fellowship : Rs. 16,000/month for first two years and 18,000/month (After two years & fulfilling requirements) + HRA
Age: up to 28 years
Project Assistant/04 Post
Qualification : Graduate / Post graduate Degree in Wildlife Sciences/ Zoology/ Forestry/ Environmental Sciences or Management/ Life Sciences/ Biodiversity and Conservation / social sciences with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks from a recognized University. Desirable : Experience /interest in field data collection for fauna (particularly insect fauna) socio-economic/ natural resource use surveys Experience in Lab research (genetics)
Age: up to 24 years
Fellowship : Rs. 8,000/month + HRA
Fee : Rs. 500/- (Rupees Five Hundred only) drawn in favour of the Director, Wildlife Institute of India, payable at Dehradun.
Selection Process : The selection of Project Associate and Project Assistants will be through a written test followed by a personal interview.
