Project Assistant # /05 Posts

Qualification:Graduate / Post graduate Degree in Wildlife Sciences/ Zoology/ Forestry/ Environmental Sciences or Management/ Life Sciences/ Biodiversity and Conservation with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks from a recognized University. Desirable Qualifications:Experience /interest in field data collection for flora, fauna, socioeconomic/ natural resource use surveys

Desirable Qualifications :Experience of working in the Indian Himalayan Region, human-wildlife conflicts issues, Knowledge/ experience in abundance estimation, telemetry, socioeconomic/attitude/conflict surveys, and conflict resolution methods. Knowledge in the use of data analytical software relevant to wildlife sciences.

Qualification:Masters Degree in Veterinary Sciences from a recognized university Age: up to 40 years

Desirable Qualifications : Experience in veterinary practice/ field conservation, capture and handling of free ranging animals, management of wild animals in conflict situations, captive management

Project Fellow** /07 Posts

Qualification:Graduate Degree in Wildife Sciences/ Zoology/ Forestry/ Environmental Sciences or Management/ Life Sciences/ Biodiversity and Conservation with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks from a recognized University. Age: up to 28 years

Desirable Qualifications : Experience /interest in field data collection for large carnivores, omnivores, primates; abundance estimation and analysis; Camera trap based sampling and analysis; use of telemetry and analysis; assessment of humanwildlife conflicts; field conservation research, Science writing and communication skills.

Pay Scale :Rs. 16,000/month for first two years and 18,000/month (After two years & fulfilling requirements) + HRA Post

Age: up to 28 years Prior work experience in the Indian Himalayan Region. Experience /knowledge on field data collection for flora, fauna, and their habitats. Vegetation/ habitat assessments, abundance estimation of fauna, camera trap based sampling and analysis; natural resource dependency surveys, socio-economic surveys.

Pay Scale :JRF Rs. 16,000 for first two years and SRF 18,000 (After two years & fulfilling requirements) + HRA
