Job title - 3D Map Modeler I

Responsibilities:
⢠Develop understanding of relevant 3D tools/platforms, technologies, and
processes, as necessary, and demonstrate by accomplishing project deliverables
Work with proprietary 3d tools, understanding & interpreting 2D source material
to create 3d models including but not limited to: linear and intersecting roads,
buildings with varying levels of details, terrain & surfaces for land, water bodies &
structures like bridges, and various city props.
⢠Fair understanding of Visual & Spatial concepts to work on 2D source data and
convert it to 3D
⢠Understanding and Awareness of various 3D styles with an ability to take
creatively subject decisions and be able to justify and support his own judgement
with a clear thought process
⢠Perform quality checks on data input to test validity of data with the assistance
Qualification:
⢠Bachelors degree or Diploma (3 years college/polytechnic education) or
equivalent preferred.
⢠0 ~ 2 yearsâ experience on 3D Modeling tool/ viz. 3Ds MAX/Maya /
Illustrator/Solid Works and Photoshop or with HERE proprietary tools, with
demonstrated aptitude for 3D modeling, or equivalent
⢠Certification on 3D Modelling from reputed institutes preferred.
⢠Revised qualification criteria/ years of experience can be considered in
exceptional situations. Undergraduates might be considered depending on
experience and certification
⢠Should have an artistic flair with Visual & Spatial awareness and an ability to
interpret the real-world in the virtual environment
⢠An understanding of abstracting details to the essentials.
⢠Good low poly modeling and texturing knowledge is important.
⢠Excellent visualization and interpretation skills to manipulate and develop objects
for 3D maps
⢠Combination of qualification and experience can be considered in lieu
⢠Skills in 3D animation, lighting, rendering, compositing, editing would also be an
added advantage
