Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
1. Installation of AC Systems
-
Install air conditioning systems including split units, ductable units, VRF/VRV, window ACs, and package units.
-
Mount indoor/outdoor units, connect refrigerant lines, drain pipes, and electrical wiring.
-
Read and interpret blueprints, manufacturer instructions, and wiring diagrams to complete installations accurately.
-
Conduct pre-installation inspections and site readiness assessments.
2. Repair and Troubleshooting
-
Diagnose faults in AC units such as compressor failures, gas leaks, fan malfunctions, thermostat issues, and low cooling performance.
-
Replace or repair defective components such as motors, capacitors, thermostats, compressors, and circuit boards.

Recharge refrigerant gas (R-22, R-410A, R-32, etc.) as per standard procedures.
-
Use diagnostic tools like multimeters, clamp meters, and pressure gauges effectively.
3. Maintenance and Servicing
-
Perform preventive maintenance on air conditioning systems, including filter cleaning, coil washing, and lubrication of moving parts.

Clean condensers, evaporator coils, and check refrigerant levels and system pressures.

Ensure proper airflow, temperature regulation, and efficient system operation.

Complete periodic maintenance as per AMC (Annual Maintenance Contract) schedules.
4. Safety and Compliance
-
Follow standard safety practices while working with electrical components, pressurized gas, and heavy equipment.

Ensure compliance with HVAC codes, safety regulations, and environmental guidelines (such as proper disposal of refrigerants).

Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure the work area is safe for occupants during and after work.
5. Customer Service and Communication
-
Interact with customers and clients in a courteous, professional manner.

Explain the problem, solution, and maintenance instructions clearly.
-
Advise customers on energy-saving tips, system upgrades, or future repair needs.
6. Documentation and Reporting
-
Maintain records of service, repair, and installation work.
-
Fill out service reports, AMC logs, and work orders accurately.
-
Report major faults or recommendations to supervisors for further action.
