Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
1. Cash & Bank Management
-
Petty Cash Verification: Check and verify petty cash expenses against supporting documents and ensure approvals are in place.

Cash-in-Hand Checking: Conduct daily/weekly cash balance verification and maintain accurate cash books.

Bank Reconciliation: Verify bank transactions, prepare bank reconciliation statements (BRS), and identify discrepancies.

Cash & Cheque Receipts: Validate and record incoming cash and cheque receipts against invoices or collection registers.
2. Invoice & Documentation Checking
-
Check purchase and sales invoices for accuracy in terms of quantities, pricing, tax amounts, and approval status.

Ensure proper accounting entries for all invoices and expenses.

Coordinate with the purchase, sales, and logistics departments to resolve invoice discrepancies.
3. GST Compliance & Return Filing
-
Prepare and assist in filing GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-2B, and GSTR-9 as per statutory deadlines.

Reconcile GST input tax credit (ITC) with GSTR-2B and books of accounts.

Support in maintaining GST data, uploading invoices, and coordinating with the CA for monthly and annual returns.

Assist in responding to GST notices or queries, if required.
4. Inter-Branch Reconciliation

Perform monthly inter-branch account reconciliations to ensure that transactions between different locations are matched and cleared.

Identify and report any mismatches or missing entries between branches.
5. Support to Senior Accountant

Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.

Help in maintaining ledgers, journal entries, and supporting documents for audits.

Support with statutory filings, internal controls, and financial reporting.
