Job Overview
An Account Assistant supports the finance and accounting department in managing financial records, preparing reports, processing invoices, and ensuring smooth day-to-day accounting operations. This role is ideal for individuals with strong numerical skills and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Record Keeping & Data Entry
Maintain and update financial records, ledgers, and accounts.
Enter invoices, receipts, and payments into accounting software.
Reconcile bank statements and transactions to ensure accuracy.
2. Accounts Payable & Receivable
Process vendor invoices and payments in a timely manner.
Follow up on customer payments and outstanding invoices.
Maintain petty cash transactions and records.
3. Financial Reporting & Reconciliation
Assist in preparing balance sheets, income statements, and financial reports.
Support in monthly and annual financial closings.
Reconcile accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance.
4. Taxation & Compliance
Assist in GST, TDS, and other tax calculations and filings.
Ensure compliance with company policies and government regulations.
Support in auditing and financial inspections.
5. Administrative Support
Assist senior accountants in budgeting and financial forecasting.
Maintain digital and physical financial documents.
Respond to internal and external financial queries.
