Job Description
Job Summary:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Account Assistant to support our finance and accounting department. The ideal candidate will assist in the day-to-day accounting operations of the company and ensure accurate record-keeping of financial transactions. You will work closely with the Senior Accountant and Finance Manager to help maintain financial order and support in financial reporting, audits, and budgeting processes.
This role is an excellent opportunity for someone with a foundation in accounting or finance who is looking to gain hands-on experience and grow within a dynamic company.
Key Responsibilities:

Daily Accounting Activities:
-
Assist in maintaining and updating financial records.

Enter and process daily financial transactions using accounting software.

Manage accounts payable and receivable including issuing invoices, following up on payments, and recording incoming receipts.

Reconcile bank statements, vendor accounts, and customer ledgers.

Prepare vouchers, bills, and expense forms.

Support in Month-End and Year-End Processes:

Help in closing monthly accounts by reconciling financial data and preparing summaries.

Assist in preparing monthly financial statements and reports for internal use.

Support year-end audits by preparing required documentation and schedules.

Data Management and Reporting:

Maintain digital and physical financial records in an organized manner.

Prepare financial reports and summaries for management as required.

Update spreadsheets, databases, and financial software with accurate information.

Compliance and Documentation:
-
Ensure all financial documentation is complete, accurate, and filed correctly.

Assist in ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations such as tax filings and statutory requirements.

Help prepare reports for tax authorities or external auditors as needed.

Administrative and Office Support:

Provide support to the accounting and finance team in daily administrative tasks.

Liaise with other departments, clients, and vendors regarding billing and payment matters.

Respond to financial inquiries and provide clarifications where needed.

General Ledger and Journal Entries:

Assist with posting journal entries for general ledger accounts.

Help monitor account balances and resolve discrepancies.

Petty Cash and Expense Management:
-
Monitor petty cash transactions and maintain proper documentation.

Process employee reimbursements and verify supporting documents.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

Educational Background:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field. A diploma or certification in accounting (such as Tally, QuickBooks, etc.) is a plus. -
Experience:
Experience in an accounting or finance role preferred. Fresh graduates with strong academic backgrounds and internship experience are also welcome. -
Technical Skills:

Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including formulas and pivot tables).

Familiarity with accounting software like QuickBooks, Tally, or ERP systems.
